Katie's Favorite Things for Spring

On a grey and rainy Saturday while dying of boredom, Regine and I posed each other a fashion challenge: choose 10 things that are your favorites right now! Things that you are just living in these days or are really making your days a success. Here is what I came up with:
I love easy fits on spring dresses (this one is by Dagg & Stacey, also loving the Valerie Dumaine dresses in the shop). Sure I can dress them up if need be, but mostly I just throw it on with minimum jewelry and hit the park, or the Taco Lot and Susy Q donuts... the drawstring waist makes this dress IDEAL for me.
Pretty pretty Jo Malone perfume makes me feel alive. Oh and if you are wondering about the accuracy of her orange blossom sent, I can verify that it smells EXACTLY like orange blossoms on trees in Cali.

Strapless bras are a definite must. I never thought I would find one with enough support, but I did at BraChic.
I love this blazer, it was a big splurge but it is so well made and simple enough that I have already got a ton of wear out of it. Looks great with a big plaid scarf too!
Got a new pair of my favorite ballet flats for the season. Pretty pretty and so comfortable (though if you get a pair make sure to get them resoled before you start wearing them, makes them last a lot longer. Take them to 'my guy' on Queen and Bank, he's good).
Crystals by Elaine Ho, makes my daily uniform a lot more mystical!

I got my first pair of jolie-laide pants by Dagg & Stacey this season and am loving the fashion challenge they are posing me, every time I wear them I get compliments but I still need a psych-up. By summer they will be as worn in as my leather leggings...... Never sure if I am cool enough for them...

I try to wear as little make-up as I can as often as possible these days, which means shades and fake glasses hide the dark circles around my eyes very well.  Some vintage and some by AJ Morgan.
Recently I saw the most perfect Bruce Springsteen tee from the early 80's, it was totally A+ but it was $75. Way too rich for my blood (and insults my picker ethics) so I got this Strokes tee for $4 instead. Love a bargain and love the band.
For all those who have kids this is gonna make total sense: To still find your little ones trip down the slide thrilling and like "holy cow you went so fast I was sure you were gonna land on Somerset Street" after like 45 times, you need a sip of something. I like Pernod with a little water. Feels like warm weather, and Paris in the 20s.
