Tavi Gevinson, aka the infamous "Style Rookie", launched an online magazine called Rookie about a year ago. To put it quite simply, it's the bees knees in comparison many other magazines you'll find. A segment of the publication that I enjoy most is "Ask a Grown-Up" in which they invite actors, comedians and musicians to answer questions from their teenaged readers. Here's a recent one of Judd Apatow; the guy who produced Knocked Up, Bridesmaids and that hit show on HBO called Girls. Enough said, right?
Ever heard of Amy Poehler? Well, she started a project called Smart Girls at the Party whose aim is to feature girls who are changing the
world by simply being themselves. Here's a good one on makeup...
Inquisitiveness is something that I'm really glad popular culture recognizes and encourages. All this goes to say that joining the Victoire staff has been a blast so far. The girls are all so
sweet and always happy to answer my questions. No matter how silly they
may be!
