Michael Haddad is Cool.

Ottawa is a great place; it really is. I would be lying if I said I felt that way every second of every day, but I am constantly reminded of how special this place is by virtue of the cool, talented people that inhabit it and do inspirational things. Whether it's a blog like Ottawa Velo Vogue or a festival like Ottawa Explosion (happening in June 2013 - come to Ottawa, fools!), there's no shortage of people making this city a special place to live. Someone who has contributed to making Victoire awesome (by giving us the fine branding you see adorning our shop sign, our bags, our business cards, our t-shirts, our beer coozies AND our wine labels [those last 2 don't exist YET]) just made something special that we just have to share with the world. Michael Haddad (Magic Mike, as he is known to all..... k, NOT REALLY but it would be cool if he was) is our pal who does lots of graphic design for musicians, artists and big companies around the city, but today I wanna show you something we here at Victoire are TOTALLY into. I guess just to have a little fun and experiment a bit, Mike made this really cool set of graphics that represent each of the provinces/territories in a mid-century modern style.
Mid-Century Canada by Michael G. Haddad.
It rules. SO FRESH, so simple, so elegant, so Canadian.... Just like the man himself. I think Mike should get to redesign the provincial flags. You hear me, Stephen Harper? Do ONE thing right while you still have the time.

Anyway, hats off to you, Mike! This is awesome. We're proud to have had you design our logos.

Take a closer look at each provinces over here. And share it with your friends! And write that damn Prime Minister about this while you're at it.
